Inherited from the MDR-Z1R, the MDR-Z7M2 has a Fibonacci-patterned grill that smoothly reproduces the intended sound properties?a particular challenge with ultra-high frequencies.
A combination of three-dimensionally sewn synthetic leather surfaces and very thick, low-repulsion urethane foam cushion ensures an ergonomic shape designed to fit the unevenness of the head, applying even pressure across the area. By increasing air-tightness, sound leakage is reduced and sound optimized with heavy powerful bass.
